More bond funding for Maine housing, new caps

The law raises the cap on mortgage purchase bonds backed by the Housing Reserve Fund or a qualifying capital reserve fund from $3 billion to $4 billion. For other mortgage purchase bonds that use alternative credit supports, the Authority can issue up to $100 million per year, with no more than $300 million outstanding at any time. This expands overall financing for housing while setting firm limits for those alternative bond structures.
