Remote pharmacy sites for rural areas

The law creates a new license for retail pharmacies to run remote dispensing sites in underserved areas. The Board of Pharmacy must issue rules by June 30, 2026. Pharmacies cannot run these sites until the rules are in place. The rules must prove the area lacks enough pharmacy access and allow a pharmacist to supervise and counsel by telehealth. They also set minimum pharmacy technician staffing and require record keeping, security, and surveillance.
