Approval needed to transfer shooting-area licenses

You cannot transfer a commercial large game shooting area license without the Commissioner’s prior approval. The department may require the buyer to apply for a new license. A transfer is approved only if the buyer shows they can meet all license terms and section 1342(2). The law also repeals the old transfer rule.

Licenses tied to one parcel and species

Your license applies only to the named parcel of land. It covers only the genus and species listed on the license. You must establish and maintain the area under the base rules in section 1342(2)(A–E). The same limits in section 1342(3)–(7) and rules under subsection 8 now apply.
