Game-area licenses limited to parcel and species

A license covers only one parcel of land and only the genus and species listed on the license. The same rules in section 1342, including the new transfer-approval step, now apply to licenses issued under section 1342-A. You must establish and maintain the shooting area as section 1342, subsection 2, paragraphs A to E require.

Transfers of game-area licenses need approval

You must get approval before any transfer of a commercial large game shooting area license. The commissioner must approve the transfer. The department can make the buyer apply for a new license instead of a transfer. The department only approves a transfer if the buyer can meet all license terms and the setup rules in section 1342, subsection 2. The law repeals the old transfer subsection and replaces it with this process.
