Home sellers must disclose shoreland violations

The law updates the residential property disclosure. If a home is in a shoreland zoning area, the seller must tell buyers about any shoreland violation notice. The seller must also disclose any pending enforcement action, lawsuit, court judgment, or settlement about the property. Buyers get clearer facts before they buy. Sellers have a new duty to gather and share these records.
