Workers get pay range info and records

Employers with 10 or more employees must list the pay range in each job ad. If a job pays only by commission, the ad must say commission-only and no number is required. As an employee, you can ask for the pay range for your job, and your employer must give it. Employers must keep records of each job you held and your pay for each job while you work there and for 3 years after you leave.

State funds inspector to enforce pay rules

The state provides ongoing funds for one Labor and Safety Inspector to enforce the pay-range and pay-history rules. For 2026-27, the budget is $81,401 total: $75,336 for pay and $6,065 for other costs. This supports enforcement so employers follow the law.
