Easier residency for Maine science high school

The law updates who can get state funding to attend the Maine School of Science and Mathematics. A student qualifies if they live in Maine with a parent, other relative, or guardian when the academic year starts. Families must confirm the student’s Maine residency at the start of each school year. The state pays the school in four equal quarterly payments, with the first due by July 31. Total payments for all students cannot be more than the amount the state sets for this purpose.
