The law requires certain institutions to provide records, information, and reasonable help to the Joint Committee on Legislative Research. This covers the University of Missouri, public colleges and universities, and state agencies supported partly or fully by state funds. The requirement supports committee research and investigations. Records protected as confidential or privileged under Missouri law remain exempt unless a concurrent resolution authorizes access.
The Joint Committee on Legislative Research must provide copies of enacted Missouri laws, measures, resolutions, and constitutional amendments. Copies must be available in print, online, or both. The committee may also sell the Revised Statutes and supplements in print or online.
