Beginning July 1, 2025, Mississippi circuit and chancery clerks can receive pay for attending youth court. For youth court matters the court acts on, fees follow the law for like services in other cases. Payment requires an itemized bill approved by the judge and allowed by the county board of supervisors. The county pays from its general fund. Parties in youth court cases still cannot be charged court costs.
