Shared K-12 schools with Mississippi State

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Starkville-Oktibbeha school district and Mississippi State University can agree to build, maintain, or run K-12 school facilities together. The shared schools must be on the Mississippi State University campus or inside the district. Either side can transfer money to the other and spend it on terms both agree to. The law does not add new funding; it only allows these joint deals and money transfers.
