Governor sets State Aid Engineer pay

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Governor sets the State Aid Engineer’s salary. The pay must follow State Personnel Board rules and guidelines. This replaces the old rule that tied pay to assistant chief engineers at the Transportation Department. The law does not set a dollar amount.
