Beginning January 1, 2025, Mississippi Development Authority’s yearly qualified equity investment tax credit cap rises from $15 million to $16 million. This state fiscal year cap excludes credits carried forward from earlier tax years. No more than one-third of the annual allocation can go toward insurance premium tax credits. The law extends the allocation cutoff from July 1, 2024, to July 1, 2029. The agency cannot allocate new credits after that date.
