The law approves $9,101,320 for the Tombigbee River Valley Water Management District for July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027. The money pays bonds, interest, maintenance, project development, and other allowed district costs. Spending comes from money the district receives or that becomes available. The district may fill up to 17 permanent jobs with these funds. This appropriation only covers this fiscal year.
Starting July 1, 2026, the district follows tighter money controls and purchasing rules. It must deposit extra cash in board-chosen banks and earn at least the state treasury rate. It must keep full accounting and personnel records and use the same format for its 2028 budget request. It must pay bills by bank checks signed by the proper officer. It cannot use general funds here to replace lost federal or special salary funds, or exceed its approved budget. When bids tie or there is no competition, Mississippi Industries for the Blind gets preference.
