Utility and water tax break for certain nonprofits

The law exempts state sales tax on electricity, gas, fuel, and potable water sold to 501(c)(3) nonprofits. The utilities and water must be used on property mainly for agricultural exhibits, livestock shows, carnival rides, harness horse racing, or similar entertainment. The property must also include facilities that provide temporary lodging. This lowers utility and water costs for nonprofits that meet all these rules.
