Courthouse repairs funded by court fees

Prentiss County must use the extra assessment money for repairs, maintenance, and renovations of the historic Prentiss County Courthouse. The courthouse is a designated Mississippi Landmark. This spending rule stays in place through July 1, 2030.

Extra court costs for Prentiss convictions

Prentiss County can add an extra assessment on each conviction in its Justice, County, and Circuit Courts if the Board adopts a resolution. The amount is up to $25 for each non-DUI conviction and up to $50 for each DUI conviction. These charges are on top of other assessments and court costs. This authority lasts through July 1, 2030.
