More poll managers for small towns and precincts

Starting July 1, 2026, small towns can use county voters as municipal poll managers. This applies to municipalities with fewer than 2,000 people. The person must be a qualified elector of the county, even if they live outside the city. Each precinct still has three poll managers. Officials can add up to three more for the first 500 registered voters, and add more for each extra 1,000 voters or fraction as needed with board of supervisors’ approval. All poll managers must be qualified electors of the county where the precinct is located.
