Claimants get protection from registry errors

The Tort Claims Board must create a public online registry by July 1, 2026. It must list covered government entities and each chief executive’s name, email, and mailing address. Covered entities must keep that information current. If the registry is wrong when someone serves a claim notice, the one-year deadline pauses until the information is corrected. A court cannot dismiss a properly filed complaint solely because the registry was wrong.
