Beginning July 1, 2026, poultry farmers in Mississippi can get help making Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plans. Mississippi State University Extension and Alcorn State’s agriculture college provide technical advice, on-site checks, planning, and help with compliance papers. The schools are not required to provide help without funding. They can seek state appropriations or partnerships to pay for these services.
