Beginning July 1, 2026, the state provides $179,695 to the Mississippi State Board of Chiropractic Examiners for the year. Of this, $40,000 is set aside to replace and upgrade the licensing management system. The Board can also use these funds to pay required IT Services charges for cloud upgrades under the Cloud Center of Excellence Act.
Beginning July 1, 2026, when the Board gets two or more equal bids for goods or equipment, it must choose Mississippi Industries for the Blind. The same preference applies when the Board buys without competitive bids.
Beginning July 1, 2026, the Board must keep full accounting and personnel records in the same format as FY 2026. Its FY 2028 budget request must match the detail used in FY 2027 requests to the Joint Legislative Budget Committee. The Board cannot spend or take on debt above its appropriation. Officers who do can be personally or bond liable.
