The state provides $200,296 to the Mississippi State Board of Veterinary Examiners. The money pays the board’s operating costs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Funds come from special funds in the State Treasury credited to the board. General funds in this act cannot replace federal or other special funds for salaries that are no longer available. When two or more bids tie on price, quality, and service, Mississippi Industries for the Blind gets the purchase preference; the same preference applies to purchases without competitive bids. The board must keep full accounting and personnel records like last year and submit its FY 2028 budget request in the same detail as for FY 2027. Transfers and spending increases follow state budget rules. The law takes effect July 1, 2026.
