The state reappropriates $8,606,679 from the Capital Expense Fund for the Offender Tracking System. The Department of Corrections can spend it from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Spending cannot exceed the unspent balance left as of June 30, 2026. The project purpose stays the same as previously authorized.
The Department of Corrections pays up to $303,773.43 to clear old invoices. Bills must be from fiscal years 2022 through 2024. Payments go only to the named vendors: Holly Springs Utility Department, Greenwood Drug, Pitney Bowes Global Financial Services, RJ Young, Bureau Veritas Elevator Inspection Services, Ecolab, LGT Glass, and Big State Industrial Supply. The total across all vendors cannot go over $303,773.43. The law takes effect July 1, 2026.
