Water and sewer deals for Brandon data centers

The City of Brandon and the West Rankin Utility Authority can sign contracts with data center developers. Deals can cover planning, building, and running water and sewer systems for a facility. The developer must reimburse the city or authority from its own funds as work progresses. Contracts can include reclaimed water for cooling and wastewater collection and treatment. Contracts can run up to 30 years, with 10-year renewals up to another 30 years, can be assigned to an affiliate or buyer, and can lock in water-supply and treatment capacity.
