Funding to run the Montana Legislature

The law funds the Montana Legislature from the state general fund. For each of fiscal years 2025, 2026, and 2027, it provides $5,806,249 for the Senate, $9,616,828 for the House, and $2,379,018 for the Legislative Services Division. For fiscal year 2027, it also adds startup money for the 70th Legislature: $475,009 for the Senate, $839,512 for the House, and $16,500 for Legislative Services. This act takes effect on passage and approval.
