Clean energy financing for multifamily owners

The law lets owners of privately owned multifamily buildings use Montana’s commercial property‑assessed capital enhancements program for upgrades. To qualify, the property has at least five units that are mainly for residential use. Each unit must have a full bathroom and a complete kitchen. Units can be rental or owner-occupied and can be attached or detached. The change takes effect upon passage and approval.
