Physician assistants can treat and rate workers' comp injuries

If you are hurt at work in Montana, a licensed physician assistant can be your treating provider for workers’ comp. This is allowed even when a doctor is nearby. A licensed physician assistant can also perform your impairment evaluation. They must be licensed in Montana and work within their scope of practice. These changes are in effect now.
