Vending operators owe state share on government sites

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state collects a department-set percentage of income from vending machines on federal and state property. This does not apply to machines run by a blind vendor. The Department of Public Health and Human Services sets the percentage by rule. The money goes into a new vending machine account and is reserved for DPHHS. Funds may be used only for this program and must follow federal law.
