Stricter license checks for electricians at jobsites

At a jobsite, certain people can require you to show your electrician license. They include a building code inspector, a department employee, the person in charge of the site, or another licensed electrician working there. If you cannot show it, they can report you to the licensing board or the department. If a department employee asks and you do not display your license, the employee can issue a citation and collect a fine under state law. This applies when you perform work that requires an electrician’s license.
