Electricians must show licenses on jobs

The law requires any person doing electrical work that needs a license to display their electrician license at the job site. These people can ask to see it: employees of employment agencies or labor unions, building code inspectors, Department employees, the person professionally responsible for the site, and licensed electricians on the job. If you cannot show it, they may report you to the state board or the Department. If a Department employee asks and you do not show it, the Department can issue a citation and collect a fine under 37-68-316.
