When Montana cancels your voter registration

The election administrator cancels your voter registration in specific cases. It cancels if you ask in writing. It cancels if a death certificate, an official death report, or a newspaper obituary shows you died. It cancels if a court finds you of unsound mind. It cancels if it is legally established you are incarcerated for a felony. It cancels if a court order directs cancellation. It cancels if you register in another county or state. It cancels if you ignore confirmation mail, are moved to inactive, and then do not vote in two straight federal general elections. It cancels if you no longer meet voter qualifications in state law. The law takes effect on passage and approval.
