Montana lets speech-language pathology and audiology assistants count unlicensed assistant work done before July 15, 2025 toward the academic experience needed for a license. The board sets by rule what documents and conditions prove your past work equals the current academic requirement. If you qualify under this path, your license date is backdated to when you first met the board’s rules. This replaces the old cutoff of January 1, 2024.
