Easier licensing for speech and audiology assistants

The law extends the window to count prior unlicensed work. If you served as an unlicensed speech-language pathology or audiology assistant before July 15, 2025, you can use that work to meet the board’s academic-equivalency path for assistant licensure. The board sets what proof is acceptable and the academic standards. If you qualify this way, your license date is retroactive to when you met the board’s rules. The law takes effect on passage and approval.
