Licensed physical therapists who supervise an assistant must make a check-in visit. They must visit the patient at least once for every eight assistant visits, or every 30 days, whichever comes first. The visit can be onsite or by telehealth. This replaces the old rule of one visit every six assistant visits or every 2 weeks. The law takes effect on passage and approval, so these rules apply now.
