PT supervisor check-in every 8 visits or 30 days

If you see a physical therapist assistant, the supervising licensed physical therapist must check in with you at least once every eight assistant visits or at least once every 30 days, whichever comes first. The check-in can be in person or by telehealth. This replaces the prior rule of every six visits or every two weeks, so check-ins are less frequent. The law takes effect on passage and approval.
