Homeowners can see wildfire risk scores

If your Montana home insurer uses a wildfire risk score, you can ask for details. An insured person, the insured’s insurance producer (agent), or an applicant can request it. The insurer must send the information in writing within 30 days. You get the current score, the model’s score range, who created it, when it was made, and key factors that hurt your score. This applies only to admitted insurers and not to nonadmitted insurers.
