Freedom Week lessons in Montana schools

Beginning July 1, 2025, Montana public schools hold exercises during the school day on listed commemorative days, including Freedom Week, the last full week of September. The lessons teach about sacrifices for freedom and the nation’s founding values. If a commemorative day falls on a weekend, schools may hold the activity on the Friday before. Each district’s trustees must adopt a policy to run these observances during school hours.
