Montana Arts Council members get pay and travel reimbursement. Rates follow Montana Code 2-15-124. The law does not list dollar amounts. This takes effect on passage and approval.
Council member terms are five years. The Governor names a presiding and a vice presiding officer from council members. Those officers serve at the Governor’s pleasure. The presiding officer is the council’s chief executive. Vacant seats are filled the same way as the original appointment, for only the time left. Effective on passage and approval.
