New state holiday: Indigenous Peoples' Day

The law creates Indigenous Peoples' Day as a legal holiday on the second Monday in October, alongside Columbus Day. State agencies, schools, and employers that follow state holidays observe it. If the date falls on Sunday, Monday is observed; if on Saturday, Friday is observed. You get the day off only if your employer or agency observes state legal holidays. The law also uses the name Presidents' Day for the February holiday on the third Monday.
