Uniform statewide ballot design and content

The Secretary of State sets uniform rules for all ballots statewide. The rules cover corrections, write-ins, stub size and content, unvoted ballots, recording voters and ballots, and ballot order. Candidate names must use the same font and size. The words "official ballot" must be printed on the ballot, not on the stub. Only certified candidates appear. Presidential and vice-presidential listings follow existing law. Once stubs are removed, ballots for the same race cannot be told apart. The law takes effect immediately.

Voters get each eligible ballot type

Election judges must give each voter one of each type of ballot the voter is eligible for. This helps voters cast all the votes they are allowed in that election. The law takes effect immediately.
