State grants boost domestic violence response

The law creates a state domestic violence intervention grant program funded by the Domestic Violence Intervention Account. The Montana Board of Crime Control gives grants to communities to hire misdemeanor probation or compliance officers. These officers monitor court orders for people convicted of or charged with partner or family member assault, strangulation, or violating a protection order.
