Coal washing tax credit extended to 2027

Effective now, the law keeps the current definitions of “coal washing” and “contract sales price” for the coal severance tax credit until June 30, 2027. On July 1, 2027, those definition changes end. This can change who qualifies for the credit and how the tax is figured. The law does not set new tax rates or dollar amounts.
