Permit data sent to property appraisers

Cities, towns, counties, and the state labor department must send new construction permits to Revenue field offices. They must send building or electrical permits within 90 days of issuing them. The copy must include a clear parcel location, like an address, geocode, or legal description, in a format the Department agrees to. This helps appraisers update records and may change assessed values and property tax bills.
