Building and electrical permits sent to Revenue Department

Local governments and the Department of Labor and Industry must send copies of new-construction building and electrical permits to the Montana Department of Revenue within 90 days. Each permit copy must include clear parcel location info in a format agreed with the Department, such as an address, geocode, or legal description. Delivery can be electronic or by other means. This helps the Department of Revenue spot new construction for property appraisals.
