Higher annual fees for underground tanks

The law raises the cap on annual registration fees for underground storage tanks. Tanks over 1,100 gallons can be charged up to $300 a year. Tanks 1,100 gallons or less can be charged up to $100 a year. Fees apply per tank. The department can prorate fees to stagger renewal dates. The law is in effect now.
