New appointments to state boards

This law appoints named people to many state boards, commissions, and one Special Superior Court judge seat. Terms start on August 6, 2026, unless a section lists a different start date (for example, August 1 or October 1, 2026). Many community college trustee terms end June 30, 2030; others end on dates like June 30, 2029; October 31, 2030; or December 31, 2034. William McBrayer is appointed to the Local Government Commission only if House Bill 268 (2025) becomes law; if appointed, his term ends December 31, 2028. The law also corrects a 2024 law to confirm Althea D. Weaver to the Bladen Community College Board of Trustees, effective July 1, 2024, with a term ending June 30, 2028.
