Bonuses for North Dakota officers

Beginning July 1, 2025, the state provides $8.45 million for a one-time grant program through June 30, 2027. Eligible peace and correctional officers can get up to $6,000 at the end of each fiscal year. Peace officers must be licensed in good standing and have four straight years with the same North Dakota agency or political subdivision. Correctional officers must have at least four straight years with the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. The Attorney General runs the program, reimburses agencies, and sets application and proof rules with the POST Board and Corrections.
