Burial medallion for Guard veterans

The North Dakota Department of Veterans' Affairs runs a burial medallion program. A medallion is a small, durable marker that attaches to an existing headstone to show veteran status. It is for National Guard or National Guard Reserve members who are not buried in the state veterans' cemetery. They must also not qualify for any other state or federal medallion. The law does not set funding amounts or a start date.
