Funding to build the training course

The state appropriates $50,000 from the general fund to the State Board of Medicine to develop the course. Money is available for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. Funds are only for building that course and may be less if not needed.

Required law course for obstetricians

Physicians who practice obstetrics must complete a state training course to get or renew a medical license. The State Board of Medicine creates the course with input and final approval from the Attorney General. The course covers chapters 12.1-19.1, 14-02.1, and 14-02.6 as they relate to medical practice.
