Two-year funding for corrections department

The state funds the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. It appropriates $292,851,661 total: $247,106,915 from the general fund and $45,744,746 from other funds. It sets $265,998,440 for adult services and $26,853,221 for youth services. It authorizes 929.79 full-time equivalent positions. The department may spend this money during the biennium under this appropriation.

Corrections can use collected revenues

The department can deposit certain revenues into its operating fund for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. Sources include payments for correctional supervision, electronic monitoring, and detention; reimbursements from other agencies; commissary profits; offender fines, fees, restitution, and medical copayments; and the Youth Correctional Center permanent fund. Money in the operating fund can be spent only if the legislature appropriates it for this biennium.
