Grants to expand CTE programs

More CTE help for K-12 students

The law funds K-12 career and technical education for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. It provides $41,537,780 for secondary CTE grants. It also gives $300,000 for Marketplace for Kids and $100,000 for a STEM initiative. These funds support school programs and activities during the biennium.

Training support for adult farmers

The law provides $1,706,138 for the Adult Farm Management program for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. The funds support training and management help for adult farmers and farm operators.

Two-year funding for CTE agency

The law provides $65,815,762 to the North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. Of this, $51,315,277 comes from the general fund, with the rest from other and federal funds. The law authorizes 23.50 full-time positions. It includes $5,118,145 for staff pay and $3,046,350 for operating costs.

Workforce training funds and regional pay

The law provides $2,500,000 for workforce training from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027. Within this, $500,000 from the general fund helps eligible workforce organizations pay employee salaries and wages. Regional shares are: Northwest $230,000; Northeast $40,000; Southwest $120,000; Southeast $110,000. An organization must be in North Dakota and focused on expanding workforce opportunities, training, and education. The Department of Career and Technical Education distributes the funds.
