The law raises caps on many fees for private investigators and security workers. The Board sets the actual amounts by rule, but no higher than these limits. Exam up to $200 (was $100). Individual license up to $300; late fee up to $100 per month. Training certificate $60 (was $25) and $60 to renew; late up to $20 per month. Armed certificate $60 per year; late up to $20 per month. Registration $60 to start or renew; late up to $20 per month. Duplicate license up to $40. Instructor certification up to $800 to apply (was $400) and $600 to renew. This act takes effect immediately.
