New fund for waterfowl habitat and youth hunting

The law creates the Waterfowl Habitat Improvement Fund. It gets money from the new $10 stamp and from interest. The legislature must approve spending. The fund pays to improve or restore waterfowl habitat and to support youth hunting. It can also match federal grants.

Hunters must buy $10 habitat stamp

You must buy a $10 waterfowl habitat restoration electronic stamp. It is required for every resident small game license and for nonresidents who hunt waterfowl in North Dakota. This $10 fee is on top of the yearly small game license fee. All stamp money goes into the state habitat fund.
