New North Dakota State University tech park and fund

The law creates a Research Technology Park at North Dakota State University. It also creates a special fund, with money and interest continuously available through the Industrial Commission for the park. The park works on robotics, AI, and autonomous equipment for farm and defense uses, and offers education and outreach. Every two years, the park must file a plan with an industry match and get Commission approval. It can pick projects, sign public and private contracts, accept grants and gifts, and must report its work each year to state leaders.

One-time $20 million for North Dakota State University tech park

The Office of Management and Budget must transfer $20 million to the Research Technology Park Fund. The money comes from the Strategic Investment and Improvements Fund. The transfer happens during July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2027. This is a one-time boost for that two-year period.
