Home address privacy for judges, officers, and Guard

County assessors, registers of deeds, and treasurers must keep your home address private if you are a sworn law enforcement officer, a Nebraska National Guard member under state law, or a judge, and you apply. Apply in writing to the county assessor where you live. Include your name, address, and the parcel ID. Officers must list a law enforcement ID. Guard members must show proof of status. Judges must name their court. The assessor notifies the register of deeds and treasurer when your application is complete. Privacy lasts 5 years and you can renew every 5 years with an updated application.

Judges' retention forms filed statewide, requests private

Judges who want to be retained must file their forms with the Secretary of State. A judge’s written request for retention is not a public record. Each year, the Secretary of State posts a list of who filed, with names and districts. File your written request by August 1 before your term ends.
