Litter and recycling law extended to 2030

The law keeps Nebraska’s Litter Reduction and Recycling Act in force through September 30, 2030. Current litter and recycling programs and rules remain in place. The department must finish a review at least six months before September 30, 2030. Lawmakers can extend the Act again before it ends. This change takes effect immediately.
