You may run an ATV or UTV between sunset and sunrise when you are removing snow. This is allowed inside the corporate limits of a city or village, or in an unincorporated village. Your city, village, or county must first allow this by ordinance or resolution. You must have a valid Class O driver’s license or a farm permit. You must carry liability insurance while on a highway and be able to show proof within five days. Do not drive faster than 30 miles per hour. Keep headlights and taillights on. Your vehicle must have a day-glow, triangular safety flag at least five feet high and at least 30 square inches. All other highway and crossing limits in state law still apply.
